Our amazing staff are integral to ensuring a smooth, safe and fun environment for all artists and audiences who attend Gilded Balloon venues and events year-round and during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. We have a small team of full-time staff and we recruit for temporary staff and crew for our various events including the Fringe in August.

Current Vacancies

Artist Services Coordinator

The Artist Services coordinator will play a crucial role in providing support to all visiting artists, both in the festival planning stages and on-site at our venues during the festival period. They will be responsible for providing clear and helpful information to performers in the festival lead up and providing general administrative support to the Artistic Directors as required. During the festival they oversee the Artist Services team and act as a first point of contact for performers, providing a warm welcome to all visitors and ensuring issues and queries are handled in a time sensitive and efficient manner. This is a key role in the Gilded Balloon team and the successful candidate will be instrumental in making the 2026 festival happen!

STREET TEAM

Are you ready to be at the heart of the Edinburgh Fringe? Gilded Balloon are looking for energetic and outgoing individuals to join our marketing team as Street Team Assistants. This is a crucial role, responsible for directly engaging with the public to promote our exciting programme and encourage audiences to visit our venues and see our shows. If you have an interest in the Edinburgh Fringe, excellent communication skills and a passion for the Arts - we'd love to hear from you!

Bar Supervisor

If you’re a whizz behind the bar and love the arts and comedy then this is the job for you! Ideally you’ll have experience working in a busy bar environment with a flair for customer service. You must be an active and enthusiastic communicator as you’ll be expected to promote shows as well as offer advice and guidance on the bar menus. A big plus if you’ve also got your personal licence, cocktail making or barista experience! This fast-paced, public-facing position requires stamina, multitasking skills, and the ability to retain large amounts of information. As the face of the venue, excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for interacting with the thousands of people you'll encounter daily. While capable of working independently, being a team player is a top priority.

Bar Staff

The Box Office team is one of the first points of contact for most audiences attending the festival, so a high standard of customer service and a bright personality are a must. Ideally you will have worked in a box office before, but this is not a must! You’ll be working across some or all of our venues. The Box Office team is instrumental in sharing our incredible shows with our audiences, selling tickets and giving recommendations based on audience interests. This fast-paced, public-facing position requires stamina, multitasking skills, and the ability to retain large amounts of information. As the face of the venue, excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for interacting with the thousands of people you'll encounter daily. While capable of working independently, being a team player is a top priority.

Box Office Staff

The Box Office team is one of the first points of contact for most audiences attending the festival, so a high standard of customer service and a bright personality are a must. Ideally you will have worked in a box office before, but this is not a must! You’ll be working across some or all of our venues. The Box Office team is instrumental in sharing our incredible shows with our audiences, selling tickets and giving recommendations based on audience interests. This fast-paced, public-facing position requires stamina, multitasking skills, and the ability to retain large amounts of information. As the face of the venue, excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for interacting with the thousands of people you'll encounter daily. Front of House Supervisor

Our incredible Front of House team play a vital role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for artists and audiences at Gilded Balloon venues during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This fast-paced, public-facing position requires stamina, multitasking skills, and the ability to think on your feet. As the face of the venue, excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for interacting with the thousands of people you'll encounter daily. While capable of working independently, being a team player is a top priority. In the Front of House Supervisor role you will be leading the team with the other Supervisors and directing the Assistants to make sure the shows run on time and audiences are safe.
