This new pub, venue and vision is a unique collaboration between some of Scotland’s most prolific arts organisations. Gilded Balloon, Paradise Palms Bars & Events and Kelburn Arts have joined forces to bring a multi-genre programme to the venue with the local community at its heart. Located at the back of the iconic National Museum of Scotland building, facing onto Bristo Square and bang in the middle of Teviot and Patter House, our Museum pop-up boasts a beautiful performance theatre with a large amount of space for set storage and a bar and coffee shop with a spacious outdoor seating area. Since its launch in 2016, the venue has played host to an eclectic line-up of performers from an array of genres.

With 9 outstanding performance spaces, a box office and a stunning large bar and event space, Patter House quickly became the must-visit venue at the festival following its launch in 2019. This fabulously pink venue hub is situated across the road from the Museum on Chambers Street, just a stone’s-throw away from Teviot and Bristo Square.

Opening Hours: 10:00-late everyday

Towering over Bristo Square, adorned in its Gilded Balloon banners, the gorgeous, castle-esque Teviot building is hard to miss. Not only does Teviot house a variety of performance spaces but it also has a number of cafes, bars and the fabulous Gilded Garden – complete with a selection of food and drink outlets.
