A warm and engaging live performer, Edinburgh-based pianist and singer-songwriter Kim Edgar’s debut, Butterflies and Broken Glass (2008) received extensive airplay on BBC Radio Scotland, a five-star review, and earned her a place in BBC Radio 2’s New Songwriters Academy 2008.

A member of pan-European folk band, Cara, Kim tours extensively within Europe, and as a member of genre-hopping collective The Burns Unit, has performed at Cambridge Folk Festival, on Later…With Jools Holland, and for HRH The Queen, with bandmate Karine Polwart. Performing at various festivals, Kim has collaborated on stage with Kate Rusby, Capercaillie, Luka Bloom, Kris Drever, Emma Pollock, Julie Fowlis, Old Blind Dogs and Flook. She has also performed in a range of UK venues including The Roundhouse (London), The Queens Hall (Edinburgh), The Sage (Newcastle) and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
