If you need to bring food, drink or medication with you, we are happy to accommodate this. Please contact a member of staff if you need assistance. Our Venue Managers are trained in First Aid.

The Gilded Balloon Basement is accessed via 12 steps down with a hand rail on the left-hand side. The main entrance door is fastened open during standard opening hours (see opening hours above).
Please note that there are future plans in place to make building fully accessible.
Basement – access by 12 steps down
The box office for the Gilded Balloon Basement is in the foyer at the bottom of the stairs inside the entrance to the Basement. Box Office staff are trained to assist all customers.
There is no accessible toilet in the Basement venue
The Basement has a small bar that serves a range of beverages and light snacks.
Arriving by train: Haymarket Train Station &Waverly Train Station are both a 15 minute walk from the venue.
Arriving by bus: Princes Street is a 3 minute walk from the venue and is served by many Lothian Bus services. Details of timetables are available from Lothian Buses https://lothianbuses.co.uk/
Parking: The nearest Blue Badge parking spaces are on George Street, Castle Street and the corner of Charlotte Square, each located about 400m from the front of the venue.
