Whilst you’ve all been resting post-Fringe, we’ve been working tirelessly to bring you a sensational hand-picked Winter Programme at Rose Theatre – and it’s on sale now!
Gilded Balloon will open the doors to our brand new, year round venue in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End, on November 23rd and will be staging fabulous productions up to six nights a week. Headlining Gilded Balloon’s inaugural winter programme will be Morag Fullarton’s critically-acclaimed, sell-out show A Bottle of Wine and Patsy Cline, taking place in the Rose’s Main Theatre, whilst award-winning comic Dylan Moran will lead opening weekend in The Basement Theatre. We’ve also handpicked some of our Fringe favourites such as anarchist cook George Egg in DIY Chef; Gary Lamont in yuletide extravaganza Festive Floozy; Chris Henry’s children’s show, Balloonatics, Captivate Theatre’s critically-acclaimed Brave Macbeth and 2016 Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Scott Gibson in Like Father, Like Son.
And that’s not all! On top of that, we have new monthly residencies, including Fred MacAulay In Conversation and innovative and alternative LGBT+ nights, with Civil Disobedience’s Mattachine – part-cabaret, part-social club and all-decadence for Edinburgh’s lavender gentlemen and lilac ladies – and Unfuck Yourself, an experimental fundraiser for World Aids Day.
As if that wasn’t enough we’re still representing Team GB on the west coast with our monthly line-up night at Drygate!
